Kybella
Is your double chin causing a lack of confidence?
Having a strong profile is about more than aesthetics. People confident in their appearance are perceived as more competent, more reliable, and better at their chosen profession. A double-chin, also known as submental fullness, can erode this impression in both men and women. Don’t let a double chin leech your self-assurance. Revive Health + Aesthetics has highly trained, expert injection specialists who can help you restore your defined jawline with Kybella, so you can face life head-on.
What Is Kybella?
Double chins can be affected by genetics, hormonal changes, and weight fluctuations. The normal aging process is also a contributing factor. Diet and exercise have a limited effect on submental fullness, but thankfully, there’s Kybella, the only non-surgical procedure targeting the double chin. Kybella is an injectable deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body responsible for the absorption and breakdown of dietary fat. It works by dissolving fatty tissue, dismantling fat cells, which are then filtered out through the body’s normal metabolic process. As the cells are expelled from the body, your chin and jawline undergo a dramatic transformation, returning to their original shape and contour and restoring youthful definition.
How Long Does a Typical Treatment Last?
Once your customized treatment plan is created during your complimentary consultation, Kybella is administered in the Revive Health + Aesthetics offices by an experienced and licensed provider through multiple injections under your chin. Each session takes less than 30 minutes. Your treatment regimen will typically include as few as 2 and as many as 6 sessions to achieve your optimum outcome, and each session is scheduled at least 4 weeks apart.
How Quickly Will I See Results?
While results vary, most patients experience visible improvement in 2-4 sessions. The best part is once your submental fat cells are dissolved by Kybella, they’re removed from your body entirely. Hand-in-hand with a healthy lifestyle, your results are long-lasting, and additional or maintenance treatments are not necessary.
Is There Any Downtime?
Kybella treatments do have minor side effects, the most common of which involve the injection site, such as swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, and redness. Other minor side effects include headache and nausea. The worst of the discomfort subsides within 48 hours, but tenderness in the treatment area may last up to 2 weeks. Some more serious side effects, such as trouble swallowing and facial muscle weakness are also possible. Be sure to disclose to your provider any medications you’re taking.
